frequently asked questions

As a membership based primary care practice we limit how many patients we see so that we ALWAYS have time for you. It is our goal to take the very best care of you possible so that you feel comfortable and confident about your healthcare.

How is this practice different from traditional practice models

This is an excellent question. If your current relationship with your primary care physician is working then we encourage you to stay where you are at. However, if you feel like your current primary care experience is rushed and impersonal then you may want to pay extra for more personalized care. In a standard physician practice, patients are given 7-10 minutes with their physician and we believe that is simply not enough time to address you and your medical concerns. We believe that accessing health care should be easy.

Nobody should sit on hold for too long waiting to leave a message for their physician. Nobody should have to call first thing in the morning in hopes of securing an appointment for themselves or a loved one. Nobody should have to go to urgent care if their primary care physician can address their issues. Nobody should wait an hour in the waiting room to see their doc because scheduling was not done correctly. Oftentimes docs run late because not enough time was allotted for the patient. As a result, you are the one who suffers by wasting your time in a waiting room.

Why should I join when I already pay for insurance?

We are not health insurance. You will still need health insurance to cover specialty care, hospitalizations, imaging studies, surgeries, ER visits, etc. We will still collect your insurance information as we will need to submit it for labs, imaging studies and referrals.

Can being a member replace my health insurance? Do I still need health insurance?

It is not that we don’t take insurance. We do not bill your insurance. We bill you a monthly membership fee for our services. You should still carry insurance for your other health care needs. We can see anyone with any health insurance. However, if you are a part of an HMO then we will not be able to process referrals for you. Therefore we prefer you have a PPO type of insurance. We will still collect your insurance information so that we can submit it for laboratory, diagnostic studies such as mammography, CT scans, MRIs, Xrays, colonoscopies, EGDs, etc and referrals to specialists. . However, we will never bill your insurance for any of our services.

Do you take insurance?

Everyone deserves to have an excellent primary care physician. Your primary care physician is your home base for your health care. We believe that everyone should be established with a primary care physician. You never know when your health status will change and you want to make sure you have someone to lean on, someone who will be there for you. Oftentimes, young people will utilize urgent care as their primary care physician. This can be expensive, timely and impersonal. In our current state of medicine, it can take months to establish care with a new primary care physician. We want to make sure you already have someone you know and trust and someone who knows you!

I hardly ever see a doctor, will a membership really benefit me?

We want you to be comfortable and satisfied with your care and what you are paying for. Therefore, you can cancel your membership at any time. Any pre-paid membership fees will be prorated and returned to you. Re-enrollment will be considered on a case by case basis if space allows and is subject to a $750 re-enrollment fee.

What if I want to cancel my membership?

Yes! You do not have to live in the area to be a member. However, you do have to be seen in person at least once a year. We recommend this to be an in-person visit for a Comprehensive Annual Wellness Visit. However, there is a lot we can do virtually and on the telephone. We can take care of you on your terms. If you are a snowbird, no problem. We can do telemedicine visits or phone visits.

What if I don’t live in the area, can I still be a member? Or I snowbird in another city half the year, is this a good option for me?

We offer a free consultation! Your comfort is our priority. We absolutely want you to be comfortable with our services. Come meet us! See if our team is meant for you! We would love to meet you in person. However, we can do this on the telephone as well if that is more convenient for you. Again, we are here to make your healthcare convenient.

How will I know if this will be a good fit for me?
